The Packard Bell Dot S2 Netbook is manufactured by Acer and is known as the NAV50 in territories other than the UK. Although Acer Bios password protection is usually easy to bypass, password removal from some models can be difficult.
With this in mind, I came across an unusual jumper on the underside of this mainboard the other day that I’m sure many will find very useful!
To clear the User or Supervisor passwords, simply open the RAM door and use a conductive metal instrument such as a paper clip or similar to short the U72 jumper as shown (in the red box) below.
